I’m happy in the forest….hiking, exploring, breathing in the air, finding tiny frogs or strange mushrooms. Climbing over fallen trees and crossing creeks. The stark changes with each season are remarkable. The forest is almost other worldly to me and it’s a good place to think.
What makes the forest even better is when one or some of my favorite people are with me. Good conversations happen in the forest, too.
This is only one beautiful scene from a recent hike with my youngest daughter.

I remember living in the mountains when I was growing up and talking walks that looked much like your picture. They are some of my best memories from that time in my life. Thank you for sharing and bringing that back for me!
In glad you enjoyed it Belinda. Always a good thing to recall good times.
Such a beautiful and tranquil shot ❤️
Thank you. Yes very tranquil.
Wow! I would love to live where I could have hikes like this close by. I live in the city, but I’m a country girl at heart. I miss being able to take walks like this.
There are several places to hike here. I’m very thankful. But I know the city has much to offer as well, just different things. You probably have access to a wide variety of the arts.
Always look at the positive, right? I need to remember that. There are lots of opportunities here that I wouldn’t have in the country.
How lovely to be hiking with your daughter! The photo is lovely as well.
Thank you Naomi.
Metoometoometoo! I LOVE the forest, probably since I was a little Girl Scout. My dream house is a tree house (but did we already agree on that one??) in the forest. So glad you’re taking time to be with your daughter.
A tree house would be great! Like one in that show Tree House Master.
Indeed—Nature is so.. ‘conversing’ 🙂
