Live Expectantly

Hope will get you through your most shadowy moments.

Your circumstances might not change, but you can still hope, dream and imagine.

The way you look at life might change.  Your heart could soften.  You could begin to see others through compassionate eyes.

Your family might become closer than ever, friends come through in ways you would’ve never thought.  Thankfulness will grow, discontent will shrink.

The change might begin with some boundary setting.  Saying no to things that drain you.

Saying yes to things that bring joy and move you toward your dreams!

Anticipate good things to come.

You can change.  She can change.  He can change.  Things can change.

It won’t always be this way.  Change will come.  Until then, live expectantly!

And don’t lose heart!

So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
